As a Member of Congress, I share the responsibility for the spending of
federal dollars, as well as playing a role in the prioritization and
allocation of federal spending.
As a service to my constituents, my office is now collecting requests for federal funding of Sacramento projects. If you would like to submit a request for federal funding in Fiscal Year (FY) 2011, please click here. Submissions do not guarantee funding. All requests must be submitted by February 19, 2010.
For too long, the process of Congressional funding requests for their home districts lacked transparency and accountability, leading some members of Congress to abuse it and the public trust. Since assuming the majority in 2007, Congressional Democrats have instituted wide-ranging reforms, including ensuring that every American can easily determine which member of Congress has submitted a request for funding.
