Small businesses are the heart of the Sacramento economy. We rely on small businesses to create jobs, develop innovative products, and provide necessary services – and our region’s economic vitality hinges on their success.
 
In order to assist local small businesses in tough economic times, I am hosting a series of Small Business Opportunities Workshops where current and prospective business leaders can come learn about the resources they need to take advantage of the federal funds coming into the Sacramento region, and to help small business understand how to contract with the federal government. 

We received such positive responses from local businesses from our two Small Business Opportunities Workshops held earlier this summer, I wanted to share with you all of the information you need to help your small business succeed right here in Sacramento.  Even in these challenging economic times, there are opportunities for entrepreneurs to start a new business in the Sacramento area, or for existing business to help make ends meet, build off successful business models, and grow their business – all of which will help foster our economic recovery and create new jobs for Sacramentans.
